Hello Codeforces

2025-09-06-12-40-07
Thanks to these nerds for 15 winstreak on Hypixel bedwars

SpyrosAliv and I are excited to welcome you to participate in Codeforces Round 1047 (Div. 3) at Sep/07/2025 17:35 (Moscow time). You will be given $$$2$$$ hours and $$$15$$$ minutes to solve $$$7$$$ problems.

The round will be hosted by rules of educational rounds (extended ICPC). Thus, solutions will be judged on preliminary tests during the round, and after the round, it will be a 12-hour phase of open hacks. After open hacks all accepted solutions will be rejudged on successful hacks.

The penalty for each wrong submission in this round is 10 minutes.

Remember that only the trusted participants of the third division will be included in the official standings table. As it is written by link, this is a compulsory measure for combating unsporting behavior. To qualify as a trusted participant of the third division, you must:

  • take part in at least five rated rounds (and solve at least one problem in each of them)
  • do not have a rating of 1900 or higher.

Regardless of whether you are a trusted participant of the third division or not, if your rating is less than 1600, then the round will be rated for you (unless you register unrated).

We would like to thank the following people for making the contest possible:

Additionally, if you are a tester of EPIC Institute of Technology Round Summer 2025 (Codeforces Round 1036, Div. 1 + Div. 2) and you are rated for Division 3, I will ask you to not participate in the round, as it is possible you have seen some tasks before.

I wish you the best of luck and I hope you enjoy the contest!

The image was created with the help of OpenAI, a sponsor of the ICPC World Finals 2025.

Hello, Codeforces.

Today I arrived in Baku for the ICPC World Finals. The very first participant I met asked me if we would be doing push-ups.

Yes! This year I decided to repeat the fun event and I invite you to join the push-up challenge. It will take place on September 3rd at 18:00. The best performer will receive a prize from Codeforces! And everyone in the top 25 will get a souvenir.

If you're not ready to do push-ups, come anyway to cheer for your friends and have fun!

We'll repeat last year's format: push-ups in rounds of 25. Gradually, people will start dropping out. Whoever does the most total push-ups will be the winner! In other words, they'll hold the title of Push-up World Champion according to the ICPC World Finals version :-)

There will definitely be a livestream on my Instagram https://www.instagram.com/mikemirzayanov/. Join us online to cheer!

See you there!

Live Stream →
On September 3rd at 18:00

Hello, Codeforces!

The TG channel team @KogutIvanTutoring is pleased to invite you to participate in Codeforces Round 1043 (Div. 3) on Aug/21/2025 17:35 (Moscow time) — another Codeforces round for the third division. This round will feature 6-8 problems selected in difficulty to create an interesting competition for participants with ratings up to 1600. However, anyone with a rating of 1600 or higher can register for the round out of competition.

The round will follow the rules of educational rounds. Thus, during the round, the problems will be tested on preliminary tests, and after the round, there will be a 12-hour phase of open hacking. After this phase, all successful attempts will be retested on successful hacks. We have tried to create decent tests — just like you, we will be disappointed if many solutions fail after the contest ends.

You will be offered 6-8 problems and 2 hours 15 minutes to solve them.

The penalty for an incorrect attempt in this round will be 10 minutes.

We remind you that only reliable participants of the third division will be included in the official results table. As stated in the link — this is a necessary measure to combat unsportsmanlike behavior. To qualify as a reliable participant of the third division, you must:

  • participate in at least five rated rounds (and solve at least one problem in each of them)
  • not have a rating point of 1900 or higher.

Regardless of whether you are a reliable participant of the third division or not, if your rating is below 1600, the round will be rated for you.

The problems were conceived and prepared by part of our team: fstilus, EzikBro, KotlechkovEgor, Wileyne, Friendiks, Boodoochai, pskobx

Also, a big thank you to:

Good luck to everyone!

UPD. Editorial is out!

Hello everyone!

Today we announce that Codeforces now supports OpenID Connect — authentication protocol based on the OAuth 2.0. This allows third-party websites to implement logging in with Codeforces.

If you want to implement this for yourself, create an OAuth app in API settings.

Codeforces includes user's handle, current rating and avatar url as part of the id token.

Let us know if you hit any issues!
